100% Japanese Green Tea (Matcha)
For Usucha (Thin Matcha)
Sift approximately 2g (about 1 teaspoon) of matcha into a tea bowl.
Add 60–70ml of hot water (approximately 80°C / 176°F).
Whisk briskly using a bamboo whisk (chasen) until a smooth froth forms.
For Koicha (Thick Matcha)
Sift approximately 4g of matcha.
Add 30–40ml of hot water (around 80°C).
Slowly knead the tea with a bamboo whisk until thick and smooth without excessive foam.
